The greatest batsman of all time and the former West Indies skipper, Brian Lara was rushed to Global hospital in Parel, Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon, right after he complained of experiencing chest pain. According to the reports, Brian underwent a number of tests at the hospital after experiencing chest pain and is currently in good condition. He is kept under observation of famous cardiologist Dr Praveen Kulkarni and is expected to get a discharge in one or two days. As per the doctors, there nothing to worry about Brian’s condition, however any further detail of the player’s clinical and health condition hasn’t revealed as per his demands. Reportedly the West Indies legend suffered from a heart attack two years back and had undergone angiography followed by angioplasty for the same.

Given to past IPL and the present ICC World Cup fever around the globe, the celebrated commentator has been staying in Mumbai since past two months and is performing commentary at star sports studio for the peak season of cricket. After the last World Cup match between India and Afghanistan, Lara was supposed to be on leave until 27th June. All the stars of the cricket domain reached the hospital to pay a visit to Brian. The West Indian also celebrated his 50th birthday recently in Mumbai itself.

In an audio recording of Brian Lara posted by himself on Twitter, the player says that he might have experienced uneasiness and chest pain due to the overexertion at the gym in the morning which must have led to the discomfort. As there was no relief to the pain, he decided to visit the hospital for some tests and said that the doctors were relieved to know that there was nothing serious.  The star sportsman thanked his fans for showing all the compassion and assured them of his fast recovery.
