The episode of “The Doctors” features a patient and victim of domestic violence named Cristin. An escape from an attack had left severe scars on her face, which acted as a daily reminder of that terrible memory. Dr. Waldorf, touched by Cristin’s story, was honored to be given the opportunity to help Cristin. The extensive cosmetic surgery procedure involved fat grafting and scar revision around her eye and cheek area. The episode included footage from Cristin’s operation and concluded with Dr. Waldorf and Cristin on the set of “The Doctors,” seven months following the life-changing surgery. Cristin expressed her gratitude to the TV show and to Dr. Waldorf for helping her rediscover her confidence and self-esteem.
