The ski season will be starting shortly, and Ski Amis, which provides catered chalets in a number of ski resorts in the Alps, is now providing a list of some of the upcoming events, both in the resorts and closer to home that may be of interest to anyone planning a ski holiday this winter.
The early events include the ski and snowboard shows that will be held across the UK over October and November, which will be worth a visit for any snow sports lover. The first is the Scottish Ski & Snowboard Show, which will be held from October 18th to the 20th at the Glasgow SECC.
Next on the calendar is the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show North, which will be held from October 25th to the 27th at Event City in Manchester and the other big one not to miss is The Ski & Snowboard Show London, which will be held at Earls Court 2 in London from October 30th to November 3rd.
Anyone who is planning on booking catered chalets in Val Thorens specifically should know that the ski resort is planning to open earlier than the others, on November 23rd. This, as always, will depend upon the amount of snow, however.
December will be a busy month for anyone who is planning to book catered chalets in ski resorts in the Alps. It is this month that the main ski area in Val d’Isere always opens, as well as the other popular ones in the Three Valleys, such as La Tania. The Courchevel 1850 lifts are scheduled to open for the season on December 7th, as are the Méribel Valley lifts. And to top off the month, La Tania will hold the annual Torchlight Descent on New Year’s Eve.
All in all, there are some great events to look forward to for skiers over the coming months, and Ski Amis recommends booking chalets early to avoid disappointment.
Ski Amis provides catered and self-catered holiday accommodation for skiers in some of the best resorts in the Alps, including resorts in the Three Valleys. Find out more at: http://www.skiamis.com/ .
