The Hong Kong Finals of the Investment Trading Challenge (ITC), an educational initiative organized by CHOFX was held with resounding success.

 

Ten shortlisted teams from top universities pitted their skills and presented high quality research and trading reports to a distinguished panel of judges.

The winning team from was chosen after much deliberation and will be representing Hong Kong in the Asia Pacific Regional Finals. Winner of the regional level will then meet at the annual Institute Global Investment Trading Challenge.

Conceived with the aim to promote best practices in investment trading through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis, the Investment Trading Challenge provides students with valuable exposure and 'real world’ experience as equity analysts.

Commenting on this educational challenge, Frank G. Yee, chairman, president and chief executive officer for CHOFX, said “CHOFX recognizes the importance of empowering youths and nurturing the talent of our future captains in the capital market. The Investment Trading Challenge is an excellent platform for undergraduates to gain valuable knowledge and ideas from industry experts whilst honing their analytical skills in commodity Trading.”

The Challenge not only aims to educate youngsters about the finance industry, but more importantly, it enables them to benchmark themselves against their regional peers. Ultimately, we hope to build a generation of future industry players who exhibit high standards of professionalism and ethical practices.”

The winning team walked away with USD 10.000 cash prizes while the first and second runner-up received USD 5,000 and USD 3,000 respectively. The winning team also received an all-expense paid trip to the Regional Finals.
